Tamales de Puerco

Pork in Red Sauce Tamales

Mexico, pork tamales are a tradition that usually involves the whole family. Soft masa, perfectly seasoned pork, and rich red sauce are all made by hand using recipes passed down through generations, then assembled and wrapped in a sustainable wrap before being steamed. And while making tamales by hand can be a long process, all you have to do to enjoy a taste of authentic Mexico is open the package, heat, and eat. Serve our Pork Tamales as an entrée or as a side dish or appetizer.

Always Great

I haven't eaten the ones I ordered yet; I'm saving them (in the freezer) for Christmas. I buy and eat these every year for Christmas. I live and celebrate Christmas alone, so it's completely impractical for me to go to the trouble of making tamales for myself. I do make great tamales; that's how I know that these are delicious. I've eaten a lot of "pre-fab" tamales over the years until I found these; the others aren't even close to these in quality.

Delicious but waaay overpriced

When you can't get homemade tamales, Del Real is great. The masa was tender and the pork was flavorful. My only complaint is the value aspect when buying them online through their website. It's almost double what it costs in the stores. $11.99 online vs. $6.49 in stores. It does come via Fedex and is packed in ice so that's what you're paying for.
