Our new plant-based tamales have the same great taste & texture of our protein filled tamales. We start with our soft masa, perfectly seasoned plant-based protein filling and add our rich red sauce. Then we assemble and wrap them in our sustainable wrap before being steamed.

 

INGREDIENTS

MASA: [Whole Cooked Corn (Corn treated with limewater), Canola Oil, Rice flour, Salt]. FILLING: [Water, Chile Sauce (Water, Red chili peppers), Pea Protein and outer pea fibers, Corn (Corn treated with lime water), Jalapeno peppers (Jalapeno peppers, Water, Vinegar, Salt), Contains 2% or less of the following: Salt, Seasoning (Paprika, Chili Pepper, Red Pepper, Garlic, Salt, Spices), Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Spice].

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

MICROWAVE

  1. Wrap each tamale in a damp paper towel and place in a micro wave safe plate.
  2. Microwave for 1 minute to 1:30 minutes or until temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from microwave and let stand 1 minute.
  3. Remove tamale from sustainable wrap and enjoy.

Note: Microwave ovens vary in rates of heating. Times given are approximate.

STEAM METHOD

  1. Place tamale in steamer basket over boiling water. Steam 8-10 minutes or until temperature reaches 165°F. If tamale is frozen, steam for an additional 2 minutes.
  2. Remove from steam basket and let stand 1-2 minutes.
  3. Remove tamale from sustainable wrap and enjoy.

I ordered your new plant based tamales. They were very tasty. I could not tell they were not real meat. I hope you will create more vegan food for us to enjoy.

Delicious products and top quality

The products arrived still frozen and in excellent condition! I was very pleased with the free samples that were included and will probably want to order some of those products next time. My only concern is the shipping costs but it looks like there may be some options to make that less of a problem. The meatless tamales are the best meatless tamales that I've ever eaten and that is saying something because I've tried many different brands of meatless tamales in the last 35 years since I've been trying to reduce my meat intake. The Arroz con Vegetales was superb as well! I highly recommend these products!
